Single DIN + Gauge Pack?

Anyone added a Single DIN unit and then a Gauge Pack underneath yet?

If so, could I see pics? I'm debating if I wanna do this setup or rip out my airbag in the A pillar for gauges.

It would be easy to do underneath. I'm sure someone has done it!

I moved my dash kit around and put the gauges on top (2 gauges + GPS mount).

What about a 3rd gauge in that pack? Like maybe tranny temp....

I have an MR and don't want that thing melting.

Oh and what about tilting the gauges to the driver instead of to the backseats.

you could easily add a third guage in there, looks from the pictures like a cell phone mount or maybe the cobb AP... i'm nto sure, he would have to reply to what it is.

It's a temporary thing, since I have a Garmin GPS unit. I will eventually get a Double DIN Nav, and then have to come up with another solution, but they're so damn expensive! I chose GPS, since I didn't really have a need for a third gauge and didn't want to just have an empty spot.

Anyway, I found a pic of a guy that is selling his. He used three gauge spots.

Oh, and the gauges actually are tilted. Not as much as I wanted, but when I had the dash kit out of the car, the angle seemed good. Then when I threw it in, they weren't as angled as I thought .

Your unit seems a lot cleaner looking and it's NOT an obnoxious blue.

I'd still need to look at single din units before I get that kind of a kit, but when I do, are you up for fabricating a more angled approach with the 3 gauge pods?

How much you think it'd be?

I'd be willing, but I'm up in Canada, so the shipping back and forth might make it pretty expensive in the long run. It was a pretty easy weekend project!

Certainly not hard, that's for sure. I had never used Bondo before, and it turned out fine.

I am fairly new here but i have seen at least a half a dozen posts dispelling this rumor.

Bringing this thread back to life... I'm looking to do something very similar to the 2nd post (Top mounted gauges + Single DIN Head Unit below). There have to be a few more set ups like this since the original post. Does anybody know where to buy something like this? I've searched around but can't seem to find anything.

Thanks in advance!
