Sirius radio subscription question

how many free months do we get when we buy a new Evo? my salesperson told me first 3 month free, but when i called in to activate today the Sirius guy told me my account is free up to 16 months. which one is true? it could be a sales ploy by Sirius trying to auto-renew my account knowing i won't be calling in to cancel or renew with a better rate after 3 month.

It's supposed to be 6 months. Both Mitsubishi vehicles I bought, cut off at exactly 6 months. I even got a full 6 months on my Evo, even though I bought it used. $15.49/mo otherwise. I pay for it because my commute is short, and I despise commercials.

I just hit six months and it hasn't shut off yet. I suppose it will at some point. I'll pay for it when it does.

Here's the reason that many people are getting over 6 months...many dealerships are activating Sirius while the car is on the lot, and the dealer activation is typically for 18 months. Mine cut out right at 18 months. I then called Sirius and set up a new account with the 6 month free trial that came with the car. Mitsu advertises 6 months free, so you should be able to get that even after the dealer activation expires. Just call Sirius directly using the number listed on the pamphlet that came with the car.

I got to call sirius. They only activated my sat for 3 months. I called after it cut off and they gave me the free trial but it was only for 3 months.
