Here is what I want to do on my 2010 Lancer with Rockford Fosgate 650watt (sun and sound package). Please read carefully!!

I want to replace the factory 650w amp with a Sony Xplode XM-ZR704. I will also be replacing all the speakers. I am NOT replacing the head unit. I will also NOT be using the factory subwoofer. I need to know if there is a way to do this without affecting the bluetooth operation and also the steering wheel controls. So basically what I want in the end is to have the Sony amp, my new Polk speakers instead of the factory woofers and tweeters, NO sub, and the factory radio, all this with bluetooth and steering controls still working. I just need to know how to rewire things so I can have this setup.
Do I need some sort of wire harness adapter to tap my amp into the old amp harness?

Isn't that used if you're changing the head unit? I'm not changing it, I'm staying with the factory Rockford stereo.

 

If your head unit is the same, then the bluetooth controls should work just fine.

 

Any ideas on how to wire in the new amp. It has a high level input connector.
