Somebody please try this out... I really would like the new FUSE features in my car. You'll be a hero to the community if you figure out how to install FUSE in a 08-10 vehicle... lol

Hello everyone, I have the info everyone wants. First thing this is going to cost a lot of money. one you have to change the instrument harness. which is going to cost 1500. just for the part alone. two if you just want the usb only, well you are SOL. the usb connects to the bluetooth module. So it is all or nothing.

what you need is this.

new deck for 2011
2011 instrument harness
audio control 2011
bluetooth module 2011
usb cable to bluetooth
usb connector to cable
awd button
hands free buttons 2011

At the end of the day you are talking about 3000 to 5000 dollars spent to do this. which really sucks. they should have had this from the beginning!!!!!!!! sorry guys

Can someone please enlighten me as to why FUSE is worth any of this trouble? What does it provide that your bluetooth system doesn't already provide? IPOD voice command? Really?

Well the iPod control would be a nice thing. But not at that price.

besides USB, the bluetooth stream audio is pretty cool

before I wanted the MMCS because of the music server - not having to plug in my iphone every time I get in my car to listen to music, and not hassling with CDs. Now my music library is only limited by my iphone, where ALL my music is anyway. Pretty much eliminated any desire of the MMCS for me (besides navigation obviously, but I can live without)

and when I use my iphone for navigation, I use a holder so I can see the screen, and the directions are streamed through the bluetooth audio as well

pretty nifty imo, but definitely not worth 3k+ to add to a non 2011

Well, I'm getting a 2011, but I opted out of the navi and decided i'd install aftermarket pioneer avic-z120bt. I wonder what I'll lose by doing that. Getting is being shipped this week, guess I'll find out soon enough.

You won't miss out on anything, since that Pioneer will do everything and more than the FUSE link. Not to mention FUSE is having compatibility issues with iPhones.

I'd take aftermarket over factory personally. Though I wish it was there when my 2011 gets here.

Exactly what I thought, fuse is cool if you dont get MMCS and dont get any aftermarket din

MMCS : Mitsubishi Multi-Communication System
ETACS : Electric Time and Alarm Control System

or

MMCS : Rip off
ETACS : Useless
