non-SSS non-RF non-NAVI Stock head unit and Line Out
Ok I searched every page in this forums as well as in the "other" evo x dot com site and didn't see an answer. EVerything seems focused on the RF system.
So here it is, like it or not I want to keep the stock BASIC head unit. For now I simply am not willing to consider changing up the look of the car. So far all the aftermarket trim pieces do not look good to me. If I change my mind in the future then everything I do now is still future proofed for that option.
I know the RF / Navi head units, as far as I've read, have 2-ch line level outputs so there is no need for those to mess about with LOC's, or things like the cleansweep or DSP's. You guys all just need to at least dump that, apparently, crappy RF amplifier. I don't have that option.
Can anyone tell me does the non-RF basic head unit have any line level outputs?
Second: If it does NOT have any type of line level out, has anyone here used any of the above mentioned products like the JL Audio Cleansweep, AudioControl LC6i, etc to retain the stock headunit and add amplifiers. What are your thoughts? I'm partial to the cleansweep for its equalization but I'm willing to go with the AudioControl LC6i if the Cleansweep isn't really worth it.
Oh yes and I do know that I'll likely need something to sum the signals going to the front drviers and tweets.
