I have the stock nav unit in my 08 EvoX, but I dont have that subwoofer installed in the trunk.
I was thinking of going for an amp and an alpine nav unit. does my system have an amp already?

i can't help but wonder..what would happen to that "equipment" menu where i can set keyless operation, wiper modes, etc if i install an aftermarket system?

any help appreciated!

if you have the Rockford-Fosgate sub you have the amp too.

On a different note tho, if you switch out your factory nav unit, pm me please? I'm trying to get my hands on one of those to throw into my non-nav GSR. Thanks!

I might, I will keep you posted.
I dont have the sub, hence I dont have the amp too. So I am thinking of getting an Alpine head unit and an amp. without the amp, the sound is kinda weak

i just hope i get access to equipment menu on the alpine head uint, though i am not sure how...

Ya keep me posted!

If your thinking of getting an amp just for the speakers, you should probably consider upgrading your speakers too, factory ones are ok but not that good.

And i doubt you would be able to have those settings in the Alpine head unit since those are built into the factory head unit and made for the Mitsu car. I could be wrong so if someone knows otherwise chime in, I don't wanna lead you into error.

yeah! apparently that thing passes information using CAN-BUS, so the OEM menu/data wont show up in aftermarket units wonder if there is an adapter/harness for that too

appreciate the suggestion. btw I saw some OEM Nav units for sale on ebay, just incase you are looking for one urgent

If you get an aftermarket head deck the menu where you can set options such as one-touch blinkers goes away. Your dealer can still set the options for you, but you'll no longer be able to do it yourself.
