I just installed an Escort 8500 X50 in my car. Hardwired it and mounted it above the mirror. The suction cups wouldnt stick to the dot matrix on the windshield, so I used Scotch dual lock fasteners. They are kinda like velcro, but alot stronger. Hopefully it holds up. You cant really see that I have a radar detector from outside the car either, which is a plus. I havent drove with it yet, so I will see how good it works tommorrow. I attached a pic of it.

I do like the new GPS enabled radars. I think I may give my wife my passport and try to find a GPS enabled radar that performs as good as the 8500.

I will never buy a passport detector or anything else from them. As far as im concerned the V1 has pretty much remained the same since it came out... why cause its an awesome product. Passports have changed every 2 yrs if not every yr. So that tells me is they are constantly needing to improve to keep up. So for me any thing else besides the V1 is garbage.... can't beat the arrows

Can't beat the arrows , bogey counter, and independent band notifications. The V1 has saved me at least a half dozen times.

v1 are the best and you can update their firmware, which is a huge plus. if you search youtube you will find all kinds of cool installs with the v1 in rear views.

K40 rl360--nothing visible but two LED, one protecting the rear and the other for the front. Voice identifies the type and direction of the threat.
