Can those with the following center console check to see if the plastic ring surrounding the cigarette lighter light up when the interior lights are on?



I have a 2011 GSR with the sunroof+leather package. I think this is the upgraded console that came with the package (same as MR ?). Anyway when my interior lights are on, the 12v outlet area is not illuminated at all. I have the feeling it's something wrong with my car but over at evo x forums I got conflicting reports , some say it does and say it doesn't.

it went out on my evo 8 too. i don't mind it at all

I have a 2010 MR with the same center console and it only lights up if I plug something into it and it draws the current.

^^^ thanks for the reply, tried plugging in my phone and gps, device charges but still no light

I know this is a non-issue but I'm just curious and want to get to the bottom of this ! Anyway, if it only lights up when you have stuff plugged in, doesn't it defeats the purpose of the illuminating the area so that you can find the cig lighter at night easier ??

but my hazard light button light is also out.
Any chance these are all connected?

Yep, mine doesn't light up either never has from new, even when you plug something into it.
