Key not detected???WTF

I've read tons of info on the FAST keys and am super paranoid about this eventually happening to me. I think the next Lancer/Evo I buy will be w/ regular keys.

Yeah keep your key and phone in different pockets. One day when i went to go unlock/lock my car. It wasn't working. i was like UHHH!??!.....then i took my phone out to answer a call, then i tried to lock/unlock my car again as i talked. it worked. DOH!

Also there is some "dead spots" inside the car where the key wont be detected.
