Pioneer Headunit install
Alright guys, ive got a evo x gsr sight and sound package and im always going to new places so a navi was important but was never a fan of the oem nav since it has limited capabilities. i ended up picking up a few things to make my experience with the car even greater than it already is.
Parts list:
~Pioneer AVIC-Z150
~Pioneer CD-AH200
~ Metra MITO-02
~ Sosche Dash kit (waiting to arrive at address)
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...on/AVIC-Z150BH
Im pretty good with hands on, id say im a 7/10 and a 10/10 with electrical so im not too worried about getting it in. What i am worried about is the dash kit, does anyone have any experience with that dash kit or is the metra better? from amazon reviews it seems likes the metra is a piece of **** while the sosche is better but not perfect. I am a perfectionist but i just dont want to wait till end of this year to find a dam OEM Bezzel for the dash kit.
Now the main reason i ended up going with something like this was because of the endless capabilities you can do with app mode. Im pretty sure a lot of you are familiar with some apps like Torque or evo scan witch work off your phone, tablet, laptop or whatever software you use, im a big droid guy, and always will be, so after doing some reading, i learned that you can mirror your droid device to the oem navi screen and run apps that you like. the cheesiest part would be to get different gauges on the navi screen whenever you like, it seems pretty sick like they do in the GTR.
So my question is any tips or short cuts or am i missing anything in my parts list? im not a fan of bluetooth i never use it nor will i, and would the fuze usb port still function after this install or do i have to use another usb port? How does the sosche dash kit look? please have pics?

Wait/pay for the OEM dash kit. The Metra looks terrible in my car. BIG gaps at the doubledin (Pioneer AppRadio2) and where it meets the dash. Fail.
Consider a parking brake bypass unit.
Metra Axxess for the steering wheel interface.
I had to get different sheetmetal screws to mount the ISO OEM brackets to the headunit.
I did get the dashcommand ($59) and GoPoint BT OBDII port ($106). There is a 'boost_only' gauge in the many/many different options for the gauge 'skins' that matches the dash nicely. Big and simple. I get many compliments.
