SSS Headlights on non SSS GSR problems

So I recently bought, the SSS headlights for my GSR. I have done the DRL disable mod to get rid of the flickering issue I had. However for some reason my driver side high beam doesnt turn on, my passenger is fine but my driver side doesnt want to work. I have been working with the seller to try and fix this issue but we cant figure out what is wrong. He says that the DRL (middle light in between the projector and turn signal lights) are the high beams so he doesnt know why the high beam is coming from the projector. After some research, I have read that the OEM SSS headlights are in fact bi-xenon lights so the high beam actually should be coming from the projector.

Basically right now everything works fine except for, the DRL lights (middle lights) I'm not sure if these should be working or not, and the driver side high beam.

So I just want to confirm that the OEM SSS headlights are in fact bi-xenon, and what you guys suggest to fix the high beam issue. And also, are the DRL lights (middle lights) supposed to work or not?

Thanks

What year is the car? Drl as what I recall was only on 2008 and 2010 models in the US.

I have a friend with a 2011 with the halogens, bought the leveling switch and oem headlights and just swapped them in.

You sure you had drl before?

I was told on one of the other forums that the solenoid could be the issue, has anyone ever replaced theirs?

Projectors are bi-xenon. You should hear the shutter activate when the light is activated. The DRL light should only come on if the parking brake is disengaged.

Edit: Looks like I was wrong and they aren't mandated. So on later models is there even a bulb in the center part of the housing? Seems like waste of space now.

I believe beetle is correct, no DRL after 2010. I don't have them on my 2013 anyway. I bought OEM SSS headlights and dropped them in, they are bi-xenon. Not sure what the issue is, could really be anything wonky going on in there...

The original poster has a Canadian model though, so I believe that is why he has DRLs. There is no DRL after 2010 on the US models.
