Thinks it is overheating

My 2010 Evo GSR won't start even after sitting overnight and the info that shows up on the dash information panel says it thinks it is overheating. I assure you it us not overheating. No doubt whatever safety system is in the car won't let it start for fear of damage. This happened after I attached my new Tectrix Openport 2 to the OBDII port but was unable to do anything since the read failed. Totally confused about what is going on. Any help? Thanks.

Fixed it. All is good.

Turns out my car was in an evaluation mode which prevented it from starting.
