Over 6 weeks ago I was able to use my Subaru Flash Can Ecutek to dump the ROM file on our Evo X . All that is needed is the first time a Ecutek dealer plugs into the new revised rom version the softwear will automatically dump the rom and then send it to Ecutek. Thereafter, its only a matter of a day or two before the new update rom will be supported.

How much power would you have in mind for a reflash on a stock car ?
With the Evo 8 - IX and Subarus we average between 25 - 35 whp with a reflash.

On of the many benefits of the licensing fee structure of Ecutek is that on the Subaru side when a new ecu version comes out they usually have support for it in a matter of days.
When I was workingf with tech tom ion the old days it took sending the ecu to Japan to get a rom pulled and then weeks and months to sort out how it works.

Hmm im not sure, I guess I was hoping for numbers more in line with what shiv posted up. I wonder why there are no updates from him? Oh well his loss. Good luck with upping those numbers. I really want a reflash and I want it yesterday.

I can speak for myself after several years of tuning turbo cars such as Subaru and Evo a stock car picking up 30 whp with a conservative reflash mapping is a decent power improvement.
Of course with additional modifications on the car tuning becomes more and more important to the point that a highly modified car cant function without tuning.

But I think the proceed raised the boost, which Al didn't do yet.
Give Big Al some time goodness, its been like a day and you expect his tune to be the same as Shiv's.

The car we are using has the following mods
Buschur Intake
Buschur MBC set to 22 psi
Buschur upper fmic pipe
The tune rasied the power from 311 to 341 PEAK
In some areas of the curve the power picked up nearly 50 whp
Tuning notes
1 - Its suprizing how well the car runs on the stock tune. Its a great tune for a factory car. It is very rich on the top end and the car picks up a few whp from leaning it out.
2 - There is a lot of additional TQ and low end grunt obtained by adjusting the intake MIVEC cam.
3 - The exhuast cam at least on first impression is not giving us much in the way of power gains at this power level.
4 - I need more work to get around the MAF reading cel code which poped up again.
Its a work in progress. I have no base maps to work off and I am just rolling by the seat of my pants and past experience with evo ecus and the Ecutek products. In time over the next few weeks I will get a better and better handle on how this ecu works and what makes it tick.
Its great how well the Ecutek product works and it seems 100% big proof this car.
Also the tie into delta dash and the live map tracing all make for a great tuning tool.
The rev limit - two step rev limit and the cel's are features I would love to see them work on in the future.
