Which turbo inlet do you recommend?

To replace the most restrictive part of the stock intake system, everyone should pick up ones of these for their X. I know several companies makes them but which one would you use?

Cobb, Perrin and Samco are all made in 1 piece silicone

Agency Power, Blitz Japan and Ralliart have theirs made in aluminum with silicone joints

Aside from the construction, I believe their diameter may be slightly different.
Strictly from the performance perspective, which one would you buy if money isnt an issue?

Thanks.

I'm making my own out of aluminum. I prefer hard pipe over silicone myself. I am using 3 inch although it necks down at the turbo inlet right now.

Thats what I thought, although silicone has the steel reinforcement its still no where as strong as hard pipe and may deform under high boost.

Do you know the diameter of the MAF sensor? I suppose the best design would be a smooth and tapered transition from the sensor to the turbo inlet.

I just put in the Agency Power one. It wasn't quite an exact fit, but it worked. Maybe it was designed to be used with a aftermarket intake more than the stock box....but it said it also works with the stock air box.

I want one without the port for the stock boost controller or the BOV return so thus why I am making my own. No one makes one that way.

Has anyone had a fitting pop off with a hard pipe vs the softer type due to motor movement under load?
