For the Evo X MIVEC, simply download an 08 GSR ROM. There are a handful posted around here. Gunzo maps come to mind.

Gunzo maps have modified mivec, but for stock evo x mivec, there is a thread on the other forum called "Stock ROMs". Most versions of the USDM evo x rom are available there.

Doh! I have a copy of the Gunzo maps I refer to all the time for the 08 GSR maps. (not the data) So I wasn't even thinking.

So how do you detect this event? Can monitored AFR's help us?

ie If you tune for 11:1, then slowly add overlap (ie retard the exhaust) and you then see the mixture going suddenly lean does that mean you have too much overlap?
bump

I add a substantial amount of fuel to combat the leaning out, but how do I know if that air/fuel mixture is going right through the cylinder at low rpm due to the aggressive MIVEC?
