here is some info for the HKS EVC set up :
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...vi-thread.html
I think this is more useful info, for you
Post # 11 Example:
"Well I'll tell you the truth the guide helps dramtically and is worth the cost.
It really doesn't have any more info then the standard hks guides but puts
it into terms where you can understand them. Literally 20 min and I had it
dialed in and that includes setting up FUN 3 to decrease taper! I want to
start digging into the easy writer software and increasing responce.

try this if you haven't fixed it yet.
Disconnect the battery for around 20 minutes.
I installed my z-chip and got modest gains. I disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes b/c that's about how long it took to install it. A week later, I was hooking up factory bluetooth and audio controls and I had the battery disconnected for an hour or two. Next time I took the car out WOW! The car behaved completely different, sounded different, and had tons more power. First thought was we need to dyno this bluetooth unit, then I thought about it for a bit.
Didn't like the Z-chip at first, love it now.

If you are going EBC, get a Greddy. They are much easier to set up.
If MBC, you could get a defi white racer or prosport electical boost gauge to go with it. Otherwise you will be guessing. Good luck.

You bought the ZChip so you obviously are looking for the most bang for the buck. In that case stick to your original plan.
Install the MBC and the boost gauge. It is easy. A few vacuum lines reconfigured, get the gauge inside your car, and do a few runs in 3rd gear. Turn the knob to adjust as needed and so on.
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere (exhaust, FMIC, UICP...). You live in the UAE so you will most likely never need to adjust it once it is set since the weather does not change too much. I live in Chicago and I never touch mine. I am also an IT guy, a programmer, but I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I installed all my mods myself. Only thing done for me was the tune.
Always check the how-to section to find the "how tos". Here are a couple links.
