Has anyone on here made their own maps for the AP with ATR?

I'm just curious. I just got mine and downloaded all of the stuff and such. I was going to take the car out since I have done the stage 1 flash, but a lot of deer around here, so i'd prefer to take it for a test run during the day which I CAN'T WAIT FOR!

In the meantime I download the ATR for it and i'm just wondering if anyone has made their own maps that are a bit more radical, but still safe? I know it depends from one car to another what is safe, but you know what I mean!

I started playing with AccessTuner Race last night and it is pretty decent software. Live tuning and live tracing excites me about it.

However, I couldn't get the live tracing working properly last night. I was only following one axis. It would trace rpm, but nothing else. Any pointers???

I think that the live tracing isn't working just yet. Logging is though.

I've looked at my map and the stage 2 map and while I know how to twiddle the numbers, I don't really have a positive way to test the results without getting on a dyno...

Yep, we're about to get live tracing fully working.

Thanks,

Thanks,
That is outstanding. The live tracing alone makes purchasing the AP worth it for those of us that like to tune our own cars. The maps that come with it are just a bonus, and I'm glad I decided to spend the money for this instead of using ecuflash again. Live tuning and tracing, and integrated datalogging make it superior.

Rob...any chances we could get a definition file made so we can use Data Log Lab?

I might be able to help out with a definition file that allows inputting the logs. PM me with details.

Thanks,
Rob

i'd honestly be afraid to flash my car with a map I made lol, even if I did read up on it a lot.

Rob... or someone else... does the AP's stage 1 map by chance remove the top speed limiter?

If you look at the stock map, there is no limiter from the factory. I thought there was too, but I've checked the stock and stage 2 maps and they are both faster than the car can ever go

EVOs have never had speed limiters. I don't know why Mitsu has always advertised 155 on all the cars....it is gear limited...or drag limited

Is the ATR software limited to each AP unit? I'm pretty sure it is. So if someone wanted to bring their car to a dyno place and tune it themselves, that someone would have to bring their own laptop for that unit, right? But if that someone has a friend who wanted to do the same thing, would he have to get his own laptop?

I'm guessing you can do more than one AP per computer, but that's just a guess. Good question!

Do you have to have a Dyno to tune your car? If you have data logging couldn't you just run it on the street and tune it?

Just go by the column headers the AP/ATR spits out in the .csv files.

It's pretty easy.
