ECUFlash Price Ballpark

I was just wondering what those of you who have custom ECUFlash tunes paid for the entire tuning process... so, dyno time, actual tuning labor, etc.

I have a quote from a nearby shop for $575, and I was trying to get some idea of whether that is reasonable or not.

I paid $350 (regularly $450) from DTM... Nick also re-tunes you for your other bolt-ons for free (no other fee's), minus things like injectors and a turbo those are only $100-ish.

Check our Evo X tuning specials for this month!(listed in my signature.) $349.99

125$ strap down fee and wideband usage for any additional tuning when upgrading down the road.

If you happen to upgrade to a larger turbo and/or injectors later on, we will still honor you at 1/2 the price of an original custom tune.

All tuning includes dyno time and use of wide-band/map sensor.

Hmm... so they're definitely on the high end. Unfortunately the gas and aggrevation of getting all the way out to NY and back would just about kill any savings. That looks like a great deal, though, DG Motors.

Maybe it's because there's just not many options in Ohio.

I would say 350-450 is fair. 575 or 600 seems a bit like price gouging. I understand one must be compensated for their time and intellectual property but 600 bucks for a tune that will be accomplished in less than an hour is predatory pricing not to mention the software is fee.

I might give them a call from the prices I've been seeing here. I was planning on heading up to Buschur because they're close and I think I'm getting their exhaust, but for $150-200 it might be worth looking elsewhere.

Holy I read this thread and think I know now what a good @$$ reaming is. I called a ECUFlash tuner in Ontario Canada and he wants $1600 for dyno and tune, although choices are limited. I'm jealous now. Consider all your price quotes steals.

I know Cory, the owner of Slowmotion and John S. both of which are great guys. I have been to their shop a number of times and their new shop has a nice dyno room. Let me know if you plan on making the trip down as I would like to stop by and meet you. (It’s always nice to meet fellow Evo X owners)

I am kind of surprised that you can't workout some sort of combo deal with Buschur since you plan on buying a few other parts from them.

I paid 26 dollars for my tune

Paid for boost pill and gas, however I got a good deal for being the first X tuned by my tuner

My retune I paid the normal price, but was only an hour's worth for touch up.
