No, not too hard to make. Although I did not make it myself. haha Fitment is perfect though because it's an OEM piece modified to fit the gauges. That's the best part. No worries about whether or not it will leave gaps etc. because it's made from an OEM part.

Oh hey! I started all this because I was having the same issues everyone else was...nowhere to put gauges, or the only thing available was junk
Here's the pillars I make:
I do lots of custom stuff too...put gauges in the AC holes and relocate the controls, i've put gauges in the ashtray so the pop up and down for the stealth look, integrated into clusters, you name it

I too have been deciding a decent place to put some gauges. So far I really favor the pillar if possible. Through this thread though I also really dig the down low ashtray area idea. May not be the best location for your eyes but it is clean and out of the way.

I just finished the hybrid pillar that's half 62mm and half 52mm (Greddy DA gauge and PLX Wideband), came out awesome. I can also do mounts above like the CPE pod without the skyscraper size, mold them into whatver really. I've got a triple 52mm dash mount I'm kinda messing with too.
