Plus the power wire does not break twice. One time it broke right after I finished tuning. I was lucky

correct, sell it and get ecuflash (free), evoscan (25.00) openport 2.0 cable (200.00) and remote tune and take the girl friend out to dinner with the leftovers

naaa, I like being able to switch around the maps quick without having to use a laptop and without having to pay for each different tune... although I have heard good things about your tuning.

To contribute a little to this topic ... 1. I have had Mellon tune my X and its not even the same car anymore ... its AMAZING what he can do with the X. Get ECUFlash and the tactrix cable its well worth it.

BTW on a diff topic I have an LM-1 wideband Ill get rid of cheap if someone wants one.

See you soon Mellon ... test pipe has shipped and I am just waiting on delivery which is supposed to be today or tomorrow ...

ok, answer.. and i'm not sure how much if at all you deal with the AP's... but why couldn't I go out, run my car, send you the log and such and then you tell me what numbers need to go where and I can do it on ATR? Again, keep in mind I don't know anything about this, nor am I attempting to act as if I do. Just asking questions.

I suppose if I had an AP and were familiar with the interface I could do that...I've tuned 3000/Stealths remotely without having access to the ROM, just using piggy backs and logs.

1) connect the Tactrix Openport 2.0 to a laptop
2) get a 3g data connect card
3) share the application with Mellon using webex
4) Result = awesome tune on an already awesome car

No bashing please, just throwing ideas out there...

not a bad idea, I've remotely tuned cars that were half way around the world sitting on a dyno this way
