Question evoscan

I cannot get my AEM to log!! It will read it and log it accurately for a few seconds and then disengages. i connect it again a few more times and then it just logs 16:1 straight AFR full time. What am i doing wrong? I have the ebay serial-USB cable that is verified to work with evoscan, and it works as tested by myself already in PCMscan. Set up on COM 1. The tactrix cable is on COM 3. Mode23 is enabled on my ECU.

Try the latest version found here:

This is beta3 which I have not tested but beta2 had the AEM logging and working fine.

Go back and check your connections to the AEM. I use the same WB and had the same problems. I rechecked the connections, made sure everything was working up to that point. Mine would disengage almost immediately after starting Evoscan.

You can't get V2.6 to work or you can't get your AEM to log?

EVOscan works. When i plug in the AEM, it logs correctly for a second or two, then disconnects. Then i can reconnect it and it just reads a solid AFR and does not change. Just a flat graph.

Are you using the latest Beta? Bc at one point Hamish rewrote a whole new code for the AEM logger.

What is this "ebay serial-USB cable" anyways? As far as I knew only the "Keyspan USB Serial adapter USA-19HS" was verified to work 100% with the Wideband outputs. If I select the wrong COM port it will also only stay connected for a second or even crash out the program so it sounds like it doesn't like that ebay adapter so much.

mine was $3.50 shipped from ebay and has worked flawlessly. (http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-2-0-TO-RS232...=p4978.c0.m456)

it didn't come with the drivers so a quick google search found them. vista 32 home & aem uego
