Wideband / Boost Gauge with a tune?

Hello all. After 1 year and a half of owning the Evo, I am finally able to continue the modding. I put the Harman Motive Exhaust (which I love) and then moved to a nerw place, had to furnish it, etc, etc so it wasnt until now that I can continue the process.

My next steps will be the Harman Motive Intake (though still not 100% on this) and a tune (yes i hasnt been tuned yet!).

On to the question:
- Must one get a wideband and boost gauge to at least check on the tune during different driving conditions?

-Is it advisable to get a wideband and boost gauge if you tune your car to avoid serious issues?

Obviously, the tuning will be up to a shop here in S. Florida, not me.

Do ya'll have a wideband and boost gauge after you got your cars tuned?

Like airbags, you can get by without them, but they can be a lifesaver when something goes wrong.

Again, it's good idea.

It's a relatively cheap and easy way to protect your investment. Any time you modify a vehicle, you increase the chances of something going wrong.

it is always better to be able to monitor how your motor/car is working every day. the gaueges will let you know if its to lean/rich and boost if you have a leak or it was hooked up backwards. small things like that will make metters worst if your not able to see it, so it helps a lot! so dont be like me and go cheap and cry later just do it now, buy the boost gauge. the wide band can come later if you get an FP green/red/black/gt35R ect. GL!

Seems that most boost gauges only go to 28 psi. Not too useful when the stock turbo can hit 30 and Reds pretty much require 30+. I guess that's my pet peeve.
