Fact of the matter is that it controls my boost curve just fine, consistently. What else matters? You're not talking to some guy who pays somebody to tune his car, I datalog and tweak things almost every day of the week. This boost controller works fine. There's nothing wrong with the GrimmSpeed EBCS and it's completely worth the ~$100 price tag for being plug-and-play.
Care to share what your solenoid table looks like. I want to see if there is a difference in duty cycle to the other two valves I tried.

Any reason nobody recommends the perrin? I was leaning toward it.

Here's a good thread if you're shopping for 3-ports: BCS Testing Data

I ran the GrimmSpeed on my WRX build and it was great,

I'll be going that route when I get my Evo tuned...

Code:
2000 80
2250 80
2500 70.5
2750 70
3000 66.5
3500 66.5
4000 70
4500 72
5000 76.5
5500 95
6000 100
6500 100
7000 100
7500 100
8000 100
That's for 4500 ft in the sky... we need a lot more duty cycle up here to achieve the same boost levels. That gets me 28 psi at peak torque and 20 psi at redline. My experiences from visiting lower places is that that would become 30+ psi and 22 psi at sea level.

Ah, my bad, I thought in that thread the Perrin/Ingersoll-Rand ultimately made into the test, but it didn't. If you really wanted to find out the performance difference between you'd have to find someone who's used both and get their opinion. Outside of that, the only difference is that the GM at ~$70 (w/PnP harness) is less expensive than the Perrin.

You don't have a weird spike occur at 100%? Most people drive it to 99%.

If you use the values I posted above in your active/primary WDGC table and taper it to the left, you should be set for a 27-28 psi tapering to 20 psi at redline tune. It sometimes spikes to 30 psi.

Be cognizant that you will NEED to retune that map if you take the car down to sea level or near (Vegas for example). I would drop all wastegate duty cycles 10% for Vegas, and 20% for sea level. The active wastegate control will effectively do the same if your BTEL maps are good, but I would drop them regardless just to be safe.

If you want a copy of my current tune, just PM me. I'm not opposed to sharing this tune at all...
