Question Who's the best tuner for what I have

Hi Guys, ok I've got a bit of a problem, listed below are the items I have installed onto my Evo, now I am having difficulty finding a reliable tuner to go with. I've called Cobb Tuning to see if they could provide me with a map to download from the internet but they told me that they don't have the Cosworth cams and a few other things that I've installed.

AMS EVO X Twin Tip Turbo Back Exhaust With Test Pipes
Vibrant Performance O2 Sensor Spacer
Blitz Boost Control SBC -ID III - Black Spec R
Cosworth Cam ShaftMishimoto
EVO X Radiator AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Radiator Hose Kit AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Small Battery Kit with Battery
FP RED Turbocharger Evo X
Evo X / 09+ Ralliart High Flow Fuel Filter Kit
HKS Engine Oil Cooler Kit CZ4A EVO X
HKS Intercooler Kit R-type CZ4A EVOX
HKS Twin LA Clutch CZ4A 4B11

Can anyone recommend any other tuners like Cobb or others who offer the choice of downloding a map for my car on-line and uploading it onto the car directly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not to steal Mellon Tuning's thunder, but do you have any engine management or do you already have an AccessPORT? I don't see it in your list of mods. You might consider contacting one of our ProTuners if you need a specific map. I do know that some of our ProTuners have basemaps for your setup. We do not have maps for every parts combination and we stick to mostly stock turbo and bolt-ons for our OTS map selections. PM me if you have further questions.

Thanks Chris, So I'll be getting the following:

- Tactrix OpenPort 1.3 USB datalogging cable

- EvoScan data logging Software

Then I'll do the three runs as described in your site and e-mail it over to you guys correct?

I wanted to check would you face any difficulty in getting a flash for my car since it's a middle Eastern/ Japanese spec? as apposed to a US spec Evo? Would the provided

Skip that etune. Time for you to get a dyno or street tune for your car. You can get a dyno tune with cobb AP, but you also pay for AP device. Its up to you, just take it to who knows evo inside/out. Looks like mellon wants to finish your car tho.

correct, unless you're heavily modified and untuned (injectors, cams, or turbo upgrade), then it would be best to start with a base tune from me before logging.

It shouldn't be a problem, I tune cars all over the world daily

I think you're lumping all "etunes" together. The process we use at Mellon Tuning is exactly the same regardless of whether or not it's local or remote. This isn't a quick and dirty tune like some of the others offer, this is a fully custom tune designed specifically for that cars mods/boost/octane and then perfected over many revisions to make sure it's dead on.

humm ok Im slightly confused, what exactly did you meant by unless you're heavily modified and untuned? because that's the stage where I think I'm at, I mean I have all the below items already installed and the car is completely untuned:

AMS EVO X Twin Tip Turbo Back Exhaust With Test Pipes and downpipe
Vibrant Performance O2 Sensor Spacer
Blitz Boost Control SBC -ID III - Black Spec R
Cosworth Cam Shaft
Mishimoto EVO X Radiator AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Radiator Hose Kit AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Small Battery Kit with Battery
FP RED Turbocharger Evo X
Evo X / 09+ Ralliart High Flow Fuel Filter Kit
HKS Engine Oil Cooler Kit CZ4A EVO X
HKS Intercooler Kit R-type CZ4A EVO
HKS Twin LA Clutch CZ4A 4B11
800cc fuel injectors
AMS fuel rail

the car is a 2009 Evo X MR, 5 speed manual, middle East/ Japanese spec

So all of the above items are already on the car, so if I was to do a log for you then it would be all over the place because that's how the car drives right now.
