boost question about evo 10

im just now coming back to the forums. I used to own an fully built evo 8 and sold it not to long ago. I was thinking about picking up a evo 10 and I was wondering whats the boost capabilities of the evo 10 , how much psi can I safely run under stock internals, without upgrading the rods, pistons, or block? and how much power can the evo 10 gsrs hold under stock internals?

I think most people run 24-27 psi on pump gas and 30+ on E-85.

I think I saw some vendors get to 700HP. Stock internals can hold that power, but for how long???

I think people who strive for that kind of power do not DD their car, so they are more likely to rebuild motor to sustain that power on the track.

But I am sure this will change with more time. Learning more about the 4B11

Quite a few threads on this. Most are doing rod bolts & head studs on cars that cross into the 400's on a low reading dyno.

The 600+hp motors haven't had much longevity to date. Ryan Gates is running 500-something on his car using a beta version of the AMS turbo. The rule of thumb for the 8 & 9 owners (that I've talked to) is also right around 500, so it seems that the 4b11t is in the same ballpark.

The stock-sized turbos (and simple fueling systems, for that matter) max out in the low to mid-400's so that's where most people have stopped.
