From Ferrari 360 to Evo X

May you please explain why?
EDIT: I didn't say Electronic Boost Controller. I said ECU controlled boost via the stock ECU, with a 3-port boost solenoid.

Because they are inconsistent and prone to failure.. With a manual its a ball and a spring.. If the ball and spring dont fall out they dont change.. however the fluttering, surging and failing of an EBC is not worth the risk of over boosting and blowing up a car.. I find an EBC to be nothing more than a novelty myself like a turbo timer.. I like the most failsafe parts...

Hi guys, I bought a 2010 Evo X yesterday. 5 spd, SSS, in Wicked White.
I am new to "tuning", and I would would welcome the top 3 do's or do not's with my car. Like I previously stated, my daily is a 360 Modena.
And I must say this is my first AWD turbo car. Today I took a windy passage at over 70 MPH in the Evo, which would normally be impossible in the Ferrari due to its enormous torque and RWD.
Needless to say, Im hooked.
So, without knowing any local tuners, whom would you folks recommend to perform an ECU tune? I do not initially plan to aggressively mod the car. I am planning on ECU tune, intake, exhaust, and maybe a less obnoxious BOV for giggles.
Any advice is appreciated.

I have a customer who is a BILLIONAIRE that had us build his evo X MR.. Just because you can afford all those cars doesnt mean you cant appreciate a car like an Evo X.. He said " im going to have you build this evo and i am probably going to total it at the track.. and then i am going to have you build me another ".. That was 70k ago but he hasnt crashed it yet thank god.. He is getting close though pushing it to limit and running over GTR's, 911's and GT3's..

Serious question. Why didnt u get the GT-R? it's "only" 80k and has much more performance. enough that you dont really need to mod it. sure its "as exotic" as your 360 and you may not want to park it outside etc. but still... i cannot fathom having a chance to own a GT-R but opting for an evo. i had to settle for my evo

I guess there has to be said for something that is under $40k and can run with the big boys. The GT-R is a nice car. But it doesnt do it for me. For $80-90K I would rather drive a slightly used vantage v-12 as a daily driver "gentlemens" car.
