evoscan problem: less than 5 volts

1) download ecuflash 1.42 and update the firmware on the cable (just plug it in and try doing a read - it will update the firmware automatically)

2) download the most recent evoscan 2.7 beta 76 or something like that

Thank you for your reply tephra, i reinstall both ecuflash1.42 / evoscan v2.7 0.070, but still no luck. I can only read and write on ecuflash without any problem, but when i try evoscan, it shows less than 5 volts on the cable.

can you measure how many volts is on the OBDII pin16 when plugged into the car?

I know digging up a pretty old thread but I have the exact same problem.

Was this ever solved?

I've encountered this on a friend's car previously. Apparently the root cause was his workshop tapped the power from his OBD port for his gauges or in car camera.
You may want to check that.
