Engine Ticking noise
Hey all,
I have a brand new 2010 GSR with about 700 miles on it. When the car is idling I hear a quiet and consistent ticking noise. The sound and frequency of ticks is very similar to the ignition clicks, but it happens when the car is on and idling. I can't really tell where the sound is coming from, but it's somewhere in the front of the main block. I'm hoping this is a normal sound but I never noticed it before and better safe then sorry. Slay me if this is a nub question.
Thanks guys.
Edit: Is it the lifters?

It's normal as far as I can tell. Mine does the same thing and I noticed it when I first bought it with 15 miles on the clock. I have also heard some others idle from bids online. Same exact sound on everyone I found.

Great guys thanks for the responses. Here's another issue though that I don't think is normal at all: Twice now I've gone to start the car and it just won't turn over. Get a little bit but it's like I need to give it gas to help turn it over or something (I've never tried doing this). If I stop turning the key and just try to start it again it works fine, but that first start is too weak or something. Any ideas? Thanks again.
