Just wondering where all of you are when the engine settles down... mine goes down to about 800, bounces from that to 1000 for about 5 seconds... stops and then does it again... no idea on that.. how about you all?

bout the same here, the X is known for erratic idle. Check your FPR hose to make sure it didnt pop off if your worried about it or something. Are you tuned? and do you have the Green relay?

The idle issue started around the time I put my intake on... it's the AGP true CAI.

no, the car drives fine though, it's just for a few seconds the idle bounces and then returns to normal... I thought maybe if the idle was raised just a little it might not do that.

well I know adding an intake on the X will lean your car out, so if your tuned and u threw an intake on there when u werent tuned for it, it can throw ur tune into a funk. Did you have idle probs when u were tuned? I doubt it.. i would talk to ur tuner about a retune and tell him bout ur idle issue. u need to get that green relay ASAP

This x 1000

If there is not a shield the secondary fan blows on the intake and throws off idle. This is why the AMS intake includes a shield.

Have you checked that the A/C ventilator does not flow directly to the new intake system? Is it shielded against this air flow?

Idle dead solid at 750-775 (logged values) on 1100cc injectors

even with my open element filter (AMSOil) I notice little/no idle fluctuation with AC on. heat should not mess with MAF readings...
