Why nobody tunes two maps for the evo then, like one for race and one for DD?
I think that would be something people would pay extra money. For many reasons, besides the gas savings.
I am around Evo tuners and so, at least in the states 8 years now, and i never heard of this on OEM ECU. But at least i know now, this is possible too
It is an awesome thing to have two maps, does anyone have that type a tune currently?
How do you switch maps, with a button like the other ECU's do, the cruise control switch or similar?
thanks for the info .

Do you live under a rock?
It's 2011 and you didn't know you could have more than one map?
Wow
Find a new tuner...

On 10 you can use Cruise Control or TPS or wired switch.
On 6/7/8/9/10 you can use TPS or wired switch.
You can even get really trick and have it as a "fail safe" that can switch to another map if certain conditions are met. The real trick guys use it as a meth / NOS activation switch when certain conditions are met. The real real really trick guys use it as a traction control threshold switch.
Where have you been for the last four+ years?
You know, the stock ECU can do speed density, make 1000+ whp and standalone datalogging too right?

Ha ha, MPG's... I laugh at them. 1200cc injectors and E85 is what I am rocking. 11-13mpg all day baby . I do pay less but I buy it more often. Love driving my car daily regardless and wouldnt have it any other way. I also would like to know how the 560whp guy is getting 29 mpg. You are actually calculating it and not just looking at the dash display right? I am guessing you just never hit boost and cruise it but even then...

Bumping the timing around the 40% load cells was what definitely netted me some nice gains, also having a larger, less spool happy turbo that has less backp pressure will help as well. I think anywhere in the 25-28 MPG is possible on the highway given flat ground at 70 mph. On the track I drop to around 6-7 mpg so driving style counts too.

How about MIVEC? I use -20 exhaust, but what about intake? Is better higher (better air flow without restrictions) or lower (less air = less gas, but also less power)?
we talk about cruise, of course

Nobody? Look around harder. I've tuned probably 150+ combined Evo 6/7/8/9/10 on dual maps with the stock ECU, and that's just little ol' me.

i knew they can make high hp and so, and they actually a good ECU's. I never been the field where you can or need 1000 + hp, so i didnt know the highest numbers.
I never honestly heard 2 maps onb stock ECU . I am over 10 years around evos/ i had a VI gsr, right after my Integrale HF EVo2/ , and i skipped only one since then /the VII when i came to the US/
Maybe where i am moving around , when it comes down to having 2 maps , we already passed the stock ECU level. Also i know many many evo guys , but never heard anyone running two maps on stock ECU.
thanks for the info's

Hi, while testing my new WB, I managed 24 mpg on a 140 miles trip to mountain and back, which I am pretty happy with.
Lambda 1 set to 16,2 AFR, high valve overlap, increased timing. Very occasional 1-2 knock count.
