air flow sensor

I have 2008 Evo with 20k miles. It has AGP cold air intake, upper intercooler pipe, turboXS downpipe and high flow cat , perrin catback. It has been tuned to 310 wheel hp with mode 23 tune. The check engine light turns on whenever I go full throttle, and recently the check engine light disappeared by itself. What could be the problem?

is the filter on your intake an oiled or dry filter? if it is an oiled filter, buy some non chlorinated brake cleaner. unscrew your MAF from the intake, disconnect the harness. and spray the v shaped piece and let dry. I had issues with the K&n filter. it gave me a P0172 code (lean bank 1) . i cleaned the maf and got a dry filter and no problems under WOT. when it is dry put it back on same way you took it off. be careful not to bang the crap out of it.

It has AGP cold air intake and the cone filter was never changed. It sit behind the fender so I am not sure how to check if the cone filter is dry or oily.

Please pull the code before you go "fixing" (and possibly breaking) things that aren't the problem.

Hi, I finally got the code, it's p-1235. Basically the check engine would turn on sometimes under full throttle. Then it would go away in couple of days. Any thoughts?
