Random Misfire

Random Misfire
Hey guys, I wanted to know why this code came up before. I have a stock ecu and 1000ccs, I know that alone sounds like a good enough reason for the CEL but could a little more fine tuning eliminate this stupid CEL? I use the most awesome tuner on the planet but could he have missed something? I also had an o2 one come up and I know he got rid of that even being possible so why did it come up that one time?

Is there a way for you to get the freeze frame data from this trouble code? it should go along way as to finding what the computer is seeing that sets a missfire
Im new to the actual tuning side, but have several years of experience on the repair side.

no the o2 code came up once but the random misfire comes every so often, we went aggressive on the timing but not bad at all, absolutely no knock count. why do i get random misfire? weird...

Thanks to OBD2 whenever an emissions related trouble code is set...there is also a snapshot taken of the datastream at the time. If you have, or can find someone who has access to the right scan tool, you can pull up this information and share it with us on here or with your tuner. Its referred to as "freeze frame" data, and should give you some insight as to what was going on when the random misfire or o2 code was set.
Not all scan tools have the capability, and most cheap "code readers" do not.
