Knock count when entering 1st gear HELP
Hey guys,
So in the process of diagnosing what the hell is wrong with my tune on my X, I'm going through and data logging all of my stuff. Everything is pretty good except for my knock count. Ive learned that this is the major way to tell if your tune is s*%t or if its good to go. So while in boost, I have hit a max knock count of 1, but this is after doing around 8 pulls...which I have heard is not that bad (if I'm correct .4 equals 1 knock?). But anyways, the max knock of 2.7 logs when i enter first gear. (I will admit after driving my jeep's clutch for the winter has put me behind on the evo's precise clutch so its a sloppy 1st gear entrance) but is getting knock while I enter 1st gear....IS THIS NORMAL??

To answer the original question:
Yes, Knock counts happen when letting out the clutch. The knock sensor is just a microphone that can pick up any noise in the engine, including odd clutch noises. Just ignore those knock counts.
