Mike at Road Race Engineering has been the exclusive tuner on our Evo for the past 2+ years. We've been through a few other shops and have stayed with Road Race because they have always treated us right and Mike knows these Evos inside and out.
Here some info on the car he's worked on for us (yes it is up for sale now):
Hopefully that will make you more comfortable taking your MR there. Go see them, they'll take care of you!!

Mike W. at RRE has a Ralliart with the SST tranny and a BBK-Full if I remember correctly. He beats the living **** out of that car. He knows how to tune for the transmission, no doubt about that.
I would go ahead and get their SST tranny cooler while you're there as you can not track the car without it. I consider it a mandatory reliability upgrade for the SST tranny.
As for emails, I've learned when dealing with shops to just call them. Like Jim Wolf Technology in the Nissan scene never answers their emails. Why? Because they only have a handful (or less) number of people working. Would you rather have them answer hundreds of emails a day, most of which are stupid, or actually spend that time working on cars?
