Question adjusting boost with a MBC

hi guys!! im trying to adjust my boost with my manual boost controller!!!....i got tune last summer but due to the cold weather i turn down the boost...and now im trying to adjust it back to 26psi.

my question is......does the spike boost count??? is it real boost?? ill give an exemple.

first i have a full bolt-on...fp red..no cams...IVEY tune....2liters built engine...manley rods,wiseco pistons,arp studs!!! 91 octane!!!

so last year ivey tuned me at 25-26psi!!!...but i never looked really at my boost gauge telling my self that if im not touching my MBC it will always pull 25psi!!!

but after turning it down to 20psi....im turning it up....its now to 25psi..BUT IS IT REALLY 25PSI??

.....ex: im in 2e gear...at 3000rpm..then WOT it....when ill hit full boost around 4200rpm...it very very very often spikes to 28-29 even 30psi..but for like 100-200rpm and quickly goes down to 24-25....

SO IS THE (SPIKE) REALLY BOOST OR ITS BECAUSE A MASS IN MOVEMENT DOESNT WANT TO SLOW DOWN???....it does that in every gear!!....but if i WOT it from 4500rpm it wont spike.

can a tuner helps me for that please im pretty sure im not the only one that wants to know that tks guys>!!!

Have you tried contacting Ivey? I haven't used them personally but I usually hear good things about them (e.g. they help their customers) when they're mentioned on these boards. Maybe try calling them first as they're most familiar with your car and tune.

Sounds like you may need to clean and lube the boost controller, what kind is it? They're all pretty much the same just a ball and a spring it might be dirty and or corroded.
