Anyone have some good feedback on the Cobb AP???
I want the ability to change programs on my own and am considering getting the AP. I would like to hear from some user of it what they think

I got it with the exhaust package total was like 2,400 but you can get the AP by itself for around 600.......An it made a huge difference for me i love it but i also have cobbs Turbo back exhaust SF intake an turbo inlet hose....Just ordered their intercooler pipes also....It's a good investment buy it!

Only had AccessTuner for a month and haven't played much with it, but it basically untied my hands in terms of tuning. Now I can blow up my engine whenever I want to! I'm not an expert but I don't think there's anything you can't change with it.
I've had the AP for 3 years now and I wouldn't go without it either.

I have had mine for about 20k miles. I occasionally take it off and it lasts almost a day before I put it back on.
Car is completely stock and even running on the "weaker" CA AZ tune.
Knock count is 0-3 and on my car only seems to correspond to quick shifts in sport+ modes so I think it might just be vibrations from the drive train tripping the sensor. It is my understanding the X's nock sensor is vibration based.
Anyway a fellow X owner recommended it to me and I would recommend it to any X owner....I Even recommend it to some 335 buddies of min.
It is hard to beat the $per/performance/features. Money well spent in my opinion.

When you get it, start out with the 91 or 93 octane beta maps. I'm running the 93 octane version, with max 2 counts of knock on a log.
I've read somewhere on here that some guys have good results running the stage 2 maps on a stock car, may try that today. Don't forget, on the beta maps you now have switchable maps. If you hold the cruise control button it switches over to an economy map... Can't say anything of the results but it works none the less. There's an indicator on your display on the dash that blinks every few seconds when you're in economy mode.
Also, to install the beta maps properly, make sure on your AP manager under the options tab tick the check for beta firmware.
As for ATR don't plug in the AP until the installer asks for it. I believe I also installed it as admin in windows 7, not sure its required. Good luck! These maps will make it a totally new car again.
And yes, it will read and delete CEL's.
