ECU Locked/Cobb Question

I bought a used evo last year and the car had some mild mods on it with a cobb tune. I am looking to get the tactrix 2.0 since it has more capabilities than cobb. My question is this. Can i just borrow another persons Cobb AP and flash back to stock to unlock it? I don't want to go through a bench process if i can simply just borrow someone's AP. Any help is much appreciated.

If ECU locked, you dont reprogramming that via obd2 connector. You must read and wright rom not via CAN flashmetod, do this with mitsubootloader metod, but you need to connect your OP2.0 into the ECU under the hood in pins for boot reprograming and use flash recovery mode in the ECUflash. After you wright other rom with no locks, you can wright roms via CAN metod seats in the car )))

As long as the Cobb is uninstalled from the first car you can install it on yours, uninstall, then reinstall on the first car. It will unlock the ECU and allow you to tune it opensource.

That's what i thought; just wanted confirmation before I ask for another member's help. Now I wait on my op2.0 and educate myself more on it. Thanks
