hp, and torque E85 + bolt ons
So i'm running a 2015 EVO X MR with turbo back(stock o2 housing), FMIC, UICP, cosworth filter, boost pill on cali 91.
don't know how to post a pic here but here's what my virtual dyno sheet said from my tuner (smoothing 3). It was a conservative tune.
300 hp @5551 rpm / 322 lbft @ 4133 rpm
299 hp @ 5996 rpm / 334 lbft @ 3688 rpm
The question is, if i run e85 can i get some good hp gain w/o much torque? I want to keep the torque under 350 on the SST with stock internals.
From what i understand it works something like this hp = tq x rpm. What i don't know, is exactly how tuning works and how each part of that equation can be manipulated through tuning and parts.

Try browsing the dyno forum and Cobb's dyno database, with a search for that criteria.

Looks like some Xs avg in the 380 lbft trq with bolt ons and E85. Maybe ask Cobb and some other tuners what they think.

hmm it looks like i found my answer for getting more power and keeping torque low. Need a new turbo and adjust boost. Brett Riley got 364 hp308 ft/lb ETS PT5858 22psi 91 Octane
which is pretty damn close to the numbers im lookin for on 91. Wish i knew the exact specs on the turbo and he got. Also see that if i get ball bearing it's air cooled. Is that a characteristic of ball bearings is that it has to be air cooled instead of water/oil cooled like the stock?

I am about to put a 5858 on my Evo X MR. Its a great choice for making good power and keeping the torque manageable.
I think you will be really happy with the kit

Just go E85. 400wtq is perfectly safe. It's fun on the stock turbo.

Or, you could just go E85 and have the power for a lot less money.
Just get yourself a good tune, from a reputable shop. That's the key.
