T1R IC Pipes Installed
#16
Hi Dave!
You're absolutely correct, the primary difference on our kit, and the main reason for the higher cost is the discharge funnel pipe you mentioned. That was pretty expensive. We'll have it on the dyno soon, so we'll see how much of a difference it makes.
Our kit is basically the complete upper pipe, the discharge funnel, and part of the lower pipe (I guess you can call it that). You're right on the pricing though. We're going to try to get it down to the $450 range.
Thanks!

Oh sweet, I didn't know that the price included the lower pipe as well! Looks great man, although please tell me that you guys will be offering the pipes in black and silver with black couplings. I'm not a big color guy when it comes to underhood stuff. I like the more traditional black, brushed stainless, and polished look myself. The quality of all the stuff from the welds to the finish looks top notch though man, I am really impressed with T1R stuff so far. They have a good reputation in the Honda world so it's nice to see them in the evo game. Just out of curiosity though, what's the bung on the discharge funnel pipe for? Thanks man, oh and let me know when those shift boots are ready, I can't stand looking at that vinyl piece of crap much longer!

^Ahh, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I keep thinking that the bung is on the turbo's compressor housing like it is on so many others, but it is in fact on the discharge pipe. Any word on color options and release date?

this looks very similar to Nisei, who makes awesome IC piping for the previous evo generation
Nisei has both 2 and 1 piece kits.

Feedback; Offer black couplers. I think the red looks great, but the blue is just too much color for the engine bay.
Price; shoot for $400-450
What exactly does this funnel pipe do compared to stock anyway?

love the color, price is a little high but understandably so, you get what you pay for. Also I would like to see a hard pipe or relocate the DV to add a little more color and to loose that wavey stock tube right next to your pretty IC pipe. I would love to see blue pipes on an OB X. keep up the good work guys!
