Oh thank god! My idle jumps between 400rpm and 1500rpm when the AC is on cause of the fans when they kick in . Heat shield would be nice

We went through all this on the EVO8-9's and the Subaru. There is a reason the factory does a lot of the things they do and messing with the MAF calibration is not a good thing to do. Changing the BOV location can effect the MAF sensor and using a different diameter MAF tube does too.

I want to build the best part, the first time for the EVOX. That is our goal. No updates later, no excuses, no "recalls". Get the product out there right the first time and make the cars properly and fast.

The routing of the BOV is shorter the way it is pictured than stock. You actually cut a decent section of the BOV hose off that runs to our lower i/c pipe.
+1, thats why Dave went ahead and made a great china wall sized intercooler thats 4.5 inches thick. A part I must say I LOVE. thanks again Dave!!

Yes, there is a letter being moved through Mitsubishi right now about the idle with the a/c fan and open element filters. I had not noticed it in our EVO X but Jarrod went out a few weeks ago and just started the car and let it sit idling for a long time with the A/C on, sure enough the idle will bobble.

We will be releasing our carbon fiber heat shield for the air filter shortly. The aluminum prototype for it is finished now. We just need to test it and then move on to production for the carbon fiber piece.

I'll probably order this right away with the MAF pipe.

But are there any gains over just the filter kit with stock pipe?

I was wondering if it will work with the factory air box. Just wanted to get the inlet pipe. Not the filter kit.
