True over the long run it would but I only need a solution for a year until I get back to normal 93 octane at home. A $1000 meth kit takes a while to equal out considering I would have to buy 50 tanks of gas with pure race fuel to equal the cost of the meth kit and if I'm only blowing though 2-3 tanks a month it's still cheaper to run straight race gas. Not to mention the fact that I would have to have the $1000 up front (now) and get tuned to run on meth which means an additional $500-700 for a tune.

kroger on 3939 Frankford Rd has E85. E85 is 100-105 octaine, but you need a beefyer fuel system to make good power. but its cheep and available in your area.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up! I'm not so much concerned about a huge power gain with the gas just want the higher octane to prevent knock, the performance gain is just a bonus

Editid a little research it kills fuel economy more and makes less power according to wikipedia...so I think I'll pass and also read I need to be tuned for it...

it kills fuel economy because it combust faster The higher your octane rating the faster it will combust in your motor... i.e higher rating gas / More gas you use.

The only benefits you'll see from running E85 VP109, C16 ect, is if your boost 28-29 lbs w/ a tune, with supporting mods and EcuTek, you should easily be around 400whp on the stock turbo.

For what your trying to do... "daily drive around town"

Just run your highest pump octane gas, and add that NOS octane booster if your worried about knock.

From the factory the fuel system is very rich, so you shouldn't have a problem with leaning out (if your worried about that)

Hope this might help.

Yeah I'm not worried about leaning out I know the car runs pig rich I was mainly worried about knock and the 91. I'm going to try and source some 100 unleaded from that same shop that sells the C16 and run around on that otherwise it's looking like Torco per tank or 1-2 gallons of C16 mixed in per tank.

Thats a better option than c16, but your best option is still to get a tune for 91 you will pick up an easy 40whp over what you have now and not have to worry about fuel at all. I think AMS and Buschur are both doing mail-in tunes now, don't know if they have a 91 tune though but it's worth checking with them to find out.
