Not to be a bish but how come many of the ETS products that come out are usually not followed up by some proven numbers and testing.... AIT temps etc?? it is one thing to make a product look great, priced well and advertised once the manufacturing side of it is done but there follows allot of trust. I like to see numbers, facts and old fashion prove to me why I should buy this antics

Luckily for us we have been producing parts for 20 years now all for DSM and EVO's, we didn't just pop up in the last few years and claim to be specializing in design and manufacturing. I am sure it wasn't our shop that was being referred to though, sorry for the shop ETS is referring to though. Our shop is two shops in one actually. Buschur Racing designs and builds the parts in house and handles the sales. Buschur Automotive is run by and seperate, by my brother so he has the chore of taking care of all the service work. TWO TRUE specialists with a combined knowledge of 40 years of doing nothing but building the quickest and fastest DSM's and EVO's. Forget about the knowledge from the rest of the guys, just use myself and my brothers.
Some of the stupid things that are typed on the internet should be cause for execution.
As for Carrito, I didn't realize they were faster than Big Valley, so if that's the case then I was mistaken, not false stating anything. Big Valley ran 11.0.
I also don't agree that a 3.5" core will control AIT's. I have also NEVER seen an EVO overheat from any size FMIC on the car from any manufacture, not in Arizona or in hell.

Tom, I am not trying to get into a pissing match with you but on your products you have released I have now read here on EVOm multiple times about how you have personally admitted to not testing them and saying things like you just did above. I quote it: "In all honestly for the simple bolt-ons like we have available thus far for the X, any of the well-known parts suppliers have a design that will do the job and perform within a super small percentage of each other on the dyno. "
That is 100% completely incorrect. If you ever do get the time to actually perform some testing and stop assuming everyone's part works the same you will find out how wrong you are in your assumptions.
I spend hour after hour every week on our dyno, I've had a dyno in our shop doing testing since 1998. Tellling people all parts perform close is total horsesheet.
It is a way out for someone not doing testing to compare their parts to others. Not a good way to do business if you ask me.

Personally I think Dave Buschur is rude and pompous. However, after a close friend of mine opened a shop, and he is the only Buschur authorized distributor in SoCal, I have seen the Buschur parts perform as advertised again and again. As money permits I will slowly start converting my car over to Buschur parts, which I should have done to begin with.
If you dont want to make HP buy another brand, if you want performance that is tested and proven by Buschur parts.
Dave is probably one of the most honest vendors on here, IMO. He has done testing on some of his own stuff and posted the results good or bad. Remember his manifold testing that he did. There was also a turbo kit a while back that did not perform well that was highly anticipated, and he tested it and decided not to produce it because of the results.
Buschur for the win.

I dont mean to take away from other people but this is typical of fmic threads. It reminds me of the people defending the EBAY intercoolers which SUCK btw. I had a certain FMIC on my car when I went to Buschur to get tuned and it heated up from 102 to 150!!!!!!!!! It was Killing me for power up top. Unfortunately Buschur didnt have any intercoolers in stock for me to swap it and retune. I had to leave about 70whp shy of where I should have been. The Buschur cooler is a true Garret core. At only 4" thick I have YET to see something outperform it. I now have the buschur 4.5" on my X and Honestly, I think he used a 4.5" core JUST because of competitors making 4.5" and 5" cores.
In conclusion heres how I see it. A 3" exhaust with minimal bends, is a 3" exhaust with minimal bends. I'm not referring to when an exhaust is ADVERTISED as 3" and its actually 2.5" or 2.75". A full 3" exhaust IS a full 3" exhaust. A K&N filter IS a K&N filter. Same thing with an intercooler pipe. But things like Intercoolers make or break you. Turbo manifolds make or break you. wastegate placement can make or break you. And remember, bigger is NOT always better.
I have used a 3" K&N filter AND a 5" filter on my X. I currently have the 5" on there but neither one made any difference. Bigger is not always better. sometimes its just a negilible difference. i mean maybe if the 3" filter was 2" long, it would be restrictive, but at 6" long, 3" or 4" or 5" diameter doesnt matter.

This is why I choose Buschur!!!!! I thought ETS was getting a dyno to actually do a TON of testing of these parts that they release??? You can't just go by theory on a part and think that is going to be the best... You have to test test test test test ... and keep testing like Buschur does... Maybe this is why Buschur is number 1!!!!!!

David,
We totally understand and respect your business model, which in reality is quite different from ours. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here. We put out product that performs, is proven time and again and have some of the happiest and most satisfied customers in the industry. Our first priority is always the customer, so in the name of keeping things civil and allowing this thread to serve its initial purpose, happy Friday guys
