AMS vs ETS Intercooler
any thoughts? i was curious being that i have seen a lot of people with the AMS FMIC and UICP but with the ETS LICP, i was wondering the benefits of going with the AMS as opposed to just getting the complete kit from ETS? also which intake works best with the AMS ETS combo....i was told that the AMS intake fits w/ETS LICP without issues from the BOV relocation

Both are great intercoolers that fit and work well, so it is as everyone says, personal preference. We've designed our intercooler, piping and intake system to be completely modular, so it will fit with any combination of stock parts, ETS parts and other aftermarket replacement parts. We feel this gives ultimate flexibility without forcing you to run our entire lineup if you already have pieces from another company, or are doing upgrades in steps to spread out the expense.
Our intake system significantly reduces intercooler system volume by locating the valve up front in the engine bay, and the custom silicone couplers and clamps required for that relocation are of course included.

Both intercoolers are good cores. Ours works with all the stock components as well. our intercoolers just like all of our products run and abused to no end by our race cars. If they can keep them from failing we know they will do the trick in your street car.
in three years of campaigning our very successful time attack EVO the car has run the same FMIC since day one. Thousands of track miles and just raw abuse could not cause the core to leak crack or falter in ANY way.

well money wise, ETS offers a full FMIC w/ UICP & LICP for under $1k..so thats really the only thing that compelled me to go with ETS. Speaking of which I'm still waiting on my black annodized FMIC kit Tom!

seriously, look it up on their website "extremeturbosystems" however I went with their biggest FMIC & had it annodized (black) so it cost me more than $1k. but they do have them for under that price range.
