ICS Evo X with Forge WGA - 376 WHP 384 TQ

We are back in business with the ICS Evo X after a lengthy delay. Those who may recall, we used to lend the cars out to customers and one of them shifted from 2nd gear to 1st instead of 3rd and a retaining dowel in the MIVEC cam gear sheared off and send all our valves into the pistons.

Its a delight to see the machine back in action.

In our latest configuration - here are the modifications

Buschur FMIC and upper fmic pipe
AEM closed cold air intake
Forge WGA and MBC
Buschur test pipe and cat back exhuast
Dyno Flash Ecutek Tune

We made a quick and easy 372 whp and 384 TQ before maxing out the stock injectors on the stock fuel pump

Its frankly amazing how well the Forge WGA helps the turbo hold boost - it really works

I am going to call Buschur on Monday and see if he is ready with the double pumpers yet. We may be able to get 390 whp with some more fuel.

We like the AEM box - it isolates the maf from the fans and heat under the hood so you dont get a pulsation at idle

Buschur fmic kicks ***

If you set the arm up properly it will hold about 25 psi at peak and stay at 20 till 6700 or so

With the MBC you can have it hit 27 psi and hold 21 till 7,000 which is how we have it set up

I have more fine tuning and air flow map adjustment to make later today. Our main issue is that we are out of injector so either we need larger injectors or a better flowing pump so we can raise the static fuel pressure and flow more fuel.

Perhaps alcohol injection will be a logical next step.

It was George's decision (owner of ICS). He prefered the total cold air concept of the AEM box surrounding the air filter.

I think both the Buschur and AEM intake make the same or nearly identical power delivery, it is more of a "look" issue as to which the customer prefers as far as how the engine bay appears. The AEM unit does look very stock like.

Is this the car that needed the rebuild and got drop in pistons? If so, was the compression changed?

Hey everyone, my car runs AMAZING! it's silky smooth and pulls hard. My next mods will be a Aquamist Meth kit and a set of cams. I want to brake 400WHP before changing the turbo.

I will keep everyone updated. For those of you who own EVO X's who are interested in modding them, please don't hesitate to contact me for a ride in my car!

Have a great weekend.
