Hi Doc,
I'm now using Amsoil for my transmission & differential, smooth!
Tempted to use the SSO 0W30 but am concern cos our climate here is hot (26-33 degree celcius) & humid (80-100% humidity) year round.
Occasional tracking too, we have a F1 circuit a few hours away
Please advise.

If your time on the track is no more than 30-45 Minutes, the 0W-30 is still an excellent oil...
If you do not have a Cat., you can go to the RD-30. Racing Dominator 10W-30.. whoopass additive package and high ZDDP for anti-wear protection on cams and lifters.

As far as 5W-30 testing... there is really no difference between 5W-30 and 10W-30 except for cold start temp. The base fluids and additives are the same and will try to have up on my site tomorrow.
It don't make a difference where the tests are posted... ASTM tests are ASTM tests and the results are the same regardless. The tests are performed by ISO Accredited Labs, which is even better than ISO Certified as they are tested every few months.
If the tests weren't factual, AMSOIL and the other labs would be sued out of business...

Most people use 50wt for track (turbo cars), I was told due to our climate, etc.....
Would this be a better bet for my application https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/afl.aspx
Sorry for asking again, just want to be safe.
Thanks.

If your bottom end has tight or stock clearances and if you are going to run on the track, AMSOIL Racing Dominator RD-30...
If you are out there running for hours at a time without coming in like a NASCAR Event,,, RD-50
Most all of the events I know you will run are about 20-30 minutes... RD-30...
If it was mine, and running in the 20-30 minute range, I'd be running the RD-20 and then run Oil Analysis after the event.

That's because most people live 40 years or so in the past where lubrication is concerned.. They are probably also running a Petroleum oil or a faux Synthetic.

I used thicker than recommended oil on my last car and ended up breaking the seals on the turbo. Smoked every time I came to a stop. I will always use the recommended oil now.

Amsoil Race Dominator is what we use in our Evo 9, we recently changed from Mobil 1
reason being is if you research the dominator yes you will find is not ISLAC API certified,,, but believe me buddy its for a reason is purely off road oriented, loaded with Zinc and phosphorus, its ideal for high reving cars.
here is a something:
MAXIMUM DURABILITY, MAXIMUM WEAR PROTECTION
AMSOIL Dominator Synthetic Racing Oil features an additive package heavily fortified with zinc and phosphorus for superior long-term wear protection. Designed for maximum durability, it ensures critical engine components are protected for the duration of the race. Dominator Synthetic Racing Oil’s superior additive technology provides unmatched durability in extreme conditions. In addition, its high levels of zinc and phosphorus additives make it ideal for street rods, muscle cars and other vehicles with flat-tappet cams
