I'm thinking about replacing the plugs as a preventative for this season after reading that the rich factory tune can foul them up pretty good. I found this post in the 8/9 forums:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ead-plugs.html

I'll be running the GT3076R with 25-26 psi on street gas soon and besides gapping them slightly tighter it looks like I should run at least one heat range colder with an extra 150-200 crank HP on tap.

Evo 10 spark plugs:

Stock heat range: Gap @ .020-.022

- BRISK Silver Racing MR12S is performance upgrade spark plug replacing

- NGK - ILKR8E6 - OEM part #1822A021

Evo 10 (1 step colder):

- BRISK Silver Racing MR10S is a performance upgrade spark plug.

Source: www.briskracing.com
Stock: ILKR8E6

I read that plug chart from NGK and there are several choices for some so this could be wrong:

Iridium Platinum
Compact Type (Shorty)
Hex Size 5/8" Projected tip (ISO)
Resistor Type
8 Heat Rating
19mm (3/4") Thread Reach
.6mm Wide Gap

Hmmm after looking at that site I'm not sure these are matching up the same as OEM now. Anyone run these in our cars yet?
