drop in filter vs Cone

If it was cold outside, that's why he probably saw the smoke white. Best way to check is to replace with stock filter and see if its doing the same thing. If it still happens, get it to a dealer and have it checked out.

after switching it back to the stock filter pretty much did the same thing as far as color of smoke and amount... and it was cold out probably 28 29degrees at the time we did the drives, makes the most amount of sense, the weather factor... i mean it just dont add up that a drop in filter would have anything to do with 1. the color of the smoke coming out of the exhaust& 2. the smoke in general... regardless the dealer idea is more than likely the thing to do, right on man

Did any of you have to tune for installing a cone filter? Or did you just slap it in and drive it? Any negative affects? Lean/rich?

As long as you leave your MAF attached you will run into no issues simply dropping the cone filter in. The MAF will adjust for the additional air flow.

same applies if i left the MAF sensor in on a custom intake? everything would be ok?

im using the perrin drop in ... nt mch of a ... bt hopefully soon ill get my hand on one of those nice intake ...

I bought a Perrin drop-in filter last week and it works great. Better sound from the turbo and BOV aswell.

so you can hear the turbo and dv valve with just a
drop in filter??

is anyone running just a
cone filter on a stock tune? just wondering what the a/f ratio is at idle and at wot thanks
