I'm not a big fan of megan, what I've seen from them tends to crack or break. Had a manifold and o2 housing crack and break on my friend's VIII. There is a reason they are cheap imo.

I've had a JUN manifold crack, and a expensive Blitz Nur Spec exhaust break a flange off..so does that mean that there is a reason they are expensive?

Take a look at the new Blitz exhaust for the Evo X, welds look like a 12 y/o with ADHD made it.

ETA: Really was a let down for me when the made the Cobb CBE with those tips.

It's a lot more common with Megan, there are many threads about it.

I am looking at getting the AMS widemouth DP, I already have Speed Circuit Test pipe (which is awesome by the way) and I am trying to decide on a catback. If I go with the AMS single exit am I going to set off car alarms? What about the ETS V-2 dual exit, still car alarms? I know they are gonna be loud, thats the goal. I just dont want them to be hide your children, something is wrong loud.

Custom Performance Engineering Reviews?

Anybody have the exhaust from custom performance engineering? CP-E. If so, what do you think?

Great thread. Now that I'm done with the sound upgrades I'm going to go for an exhaust. I'm looking for a nice sound a bit more than performance so will go for a catback first, eventually maybe a TBE with a high flow cat. Anyone wants to offer an opinion on their system's cabin noise I'd welcome them. After a bad experience with a droning Borla I don't want that, and I want to be able to listen to my music. Other than that I'm not against a bit of an aggressive exhaust note. So far the cp-e and specialty x appeal to me.

Man, if cabin noise was not an issue, I'd get the Ultimate racing catback and live happily ever after. To me, that's the way a great exhaust should sound.
