Edit for the details:
This is one of the original Ultimate Racing o2 Housings. It has been on the car since August/September.

Darryl@Ultimate Racing has been great about this and they are shipping a new one out. I'm paying upgraded shipping to get it here by Friday so that I can put it on on Saturday for an autocross this weekend.

So far they are passing the "good customer service" test. I just wish they weren't in Canada so the shipping could be faster/cheaper :-/ Can't have everything I guess.

I *could* take it off and have someone local reweld it. If my new one doesn't get here by Friday this is what I will be doing (sigh, it is a huge pain in the butt to install).

How I noticed the issue was the weird sound (not normal exhaust leak sound) under throttle (more like a shhhhhhhhh) and my AFRs at idle were reading very lean (18-19 sitting at a stop light). They would drop to normal when you pressed the throttle. The car also eventually threw a "too lean" code (for which step one of the service manual is to "check the exhaust system for leaks").

I'm pretty sure they will get him a new one. the only thing i hate is having to take it off and putting another one on

As if it wasnt a hassle to install it the first time...

That sucks! Hopefully, that area has been addressed and it will not continue to happen.

Lightbulb

Guys, this seems to be an isolated incident. This is the first (and likely the last) that we have had to warranty for cracking.

We back the products we build 1000%. I didn't even know this thread existed. goofygrin had PM'd me last night. I read it this morning and contacted him immediately. A replacement is already on its way
