Manual or Electric boost controller

I am not sure if I am right, but here goes.
The boost control solenoid is what comes between the ECU and the WG Actuator. Since it is electronically controlled, The ECU has a great level of control over how much pressure makes it to the WG Actuator. So the answer to your question is "Yes". However, the net behavior of the vehicle and its response to your tuning can be altered by using after-market parts when Stock mechanism does not meet your requirement.

hope that answers your question.

You bet! That's what's great about the new car!
No need for an MBC or EBC. If you really have to have one, then go for it. They will all work and provide nearly identical numbers.
I will not be running one as the stock boost control unit has proven to be a worthy solution.
I would only recommend other methods if you are running high octane gas/meth or if you are on a larger turbo. And when I mean larger, not the FP Red or Dominator.

I made 325hp and 345tq totally stock with just a jestr tune, on the stock bcs. Run whatever you want I don't care, but i'm saying from experience, a mbc will cause overboost in 5th and I hated that I couldn't give it too much gas when passing someone on the highway. If the stock bcs will allow you you to reach your target boost level...why run something else??
